Dance is everywhere

Dane Shitagi did a fantastic thing! Following the lack of affordable pictures in Dance she is growing her philosophy using dance pictures pretty much everywhere! Constructed over the span of 15 years the Ballerina Project is not your typical “dance photography” but an etching of a ballerinas heart and emotions, as it says in the website. Dance is everywhere. Emotions, beauty, art, fashion, lifestyle all this make a very contemporary way to present dance work and combine different dancer mindsets. Every aspect of the Ballerina Project is carefully crafted and cultivated.

There is any space for Dance lovers to be pictured in their emotions while they dance around? It may be not art, but it will be dance life…It will be interesting to see moments of dancing in everyday life and how dance squeeze in their ordinary routines. I discovered photographer Jordan Matter was inspired to create a photo series where “The people in the images would be alive and in the moment, celebrating all aspects and emotions of everyday life,”. He found that dancers fit in his vision perfectly, and spent three years traveling around the country, photographing volunteer dancers doing extraordinary things in ordinary, everyday situations. The resulting photo series is called “Dancers Among Us.”
